From there she was instructed to assist Roman Commander Aurelius to plan the escape of 12-year old Romulus Augustus Caesar from a prison in Capri after his parents had been killed by the leader of the Alliance in turmoil-stricken Rome that has seen the deaths of five emperors in five years. Mira, Aurelius, and a Priest, Ambrosinius, along with a handful of loyal soldiers were successful in the escape plan and deliver Romulus to Roman Senator Nestor. What the crew do not realize is that their task is not over yet, for Nestor is all set to betray Romulus, leaving them with no alternative but to flee to Britannia, where they will be forced to confront a seemingly invincible Vortygn, whose main aim is to obtain a powerful sword that was meant for defense and defeat...

Not impressed with the movie. Acting was dry with little to no character development. By the end of the movie, every character could have died and I would not have cared, which is too bad because I like Kingsley. The action is not nearly as fast paced as most movies are nowadays - meaning it seemed far too choreographed. The movie is by no means on an epic scale: the armies fail to seem threateningly large and left me feeling like the production of the movie was very low budget. The music started of sounding very decent, but it quickly deteriorated. Not worth spending $10, save your money and use a free rental coupon one day... Too bad...

This was a very entertaining cross between "Braveheart" and "Spartacus"!
I was glad that this film didn't rely on too many special effects to get the story across, and I enjoyed both Colin Firth's and Ben Kingsley's performances. while Miss Rai wasn't oscar calibre, she was good in her role and quite believable...who says women can't be beautiful and battle-worthy? Most critics haven't been kind to this film and I pity them because they're simply comparing this film to 300; I enjoyed the fact that a family could see this film together without being embarrassed.or too grossed out from the violence that is constantly thrown out...the only "love scene' while being suggestive was very tender and there is some delightful humor throughtout the film. This was a great way to spend $20 and 2 hours.

This story will be enjoyed by those that know the history of King Arthur and like history. It had believable characters and a fun storyline.

If you are into historical films, this is an awesome movie with constant reminders that this movie is somewhat plausible. On the other hand if you failed history in high school you might get a little confused with some of the names, places and societies mentioned in the movie.
Lots of action and plenty kick-*** fight scenes. Once you know the plot, it's pretty predictable, but that doesn't take away from the enjoyment of the film.
If you liked "300", then you will like "The Last Legion", just don't expect th same level of cinematography.
